I PRd today. One of my best runs I've ever had. I ran up Turkey Farm clear to Yellow Knolls. Hit the first mile @ a 6:35 then booked it up 1200 feet of elevation in the next 40 minutes keeping an avaerage of 7:10ish pace on the way up. Then I turned around at Yellow Knolls & booked it back down. I clocked my first mile in at a 5:55 second at a 5:45 then a 5:55 then the rest were all 6:00-6:05s on the way home. I finished with 6:38 avgs overall and a half marathon time of 1:26:38. I could not believe it. I didnt even feel all that tired. I was shocked especially with the elevation gain I encountered throughout the run. Im wondering if I might be able to go after winning a half at some point soon.

In other news Im back home because they cancelled classes which is both really really nice and really quite sad. I'll miss running with Ethan every day. The world is feeling so chaotic wiht all of these changes hitting so quickly. It feels like some surreal events out of a book. Don't exactly know who I'll run with now that Im home as well. I might end up mererly having to go solo for the time being. I also started 100 years of Solitude & Born to Run. Im not sure what to think of Born to Run there are a few things about the story that somewhat irk me. 100 Years of Solitude however has been a very strange and engaging read.

Also did 8.3 miles of East Rim Trail today to shake out the legs with the fam. Was really quite beautiful. Id missed the strange beauty of home.
