G Money,
Find a way to take the day or two after a big workout a bit easier. That’s when the body does all the adapting and gets better from the hard work. It seems a bit counterintuitive, but give it a shot. It’s fun to see you really into running. I hope you’re reading good books and listening to tasty music.

Robs,
Thanks for the advice. I think that's a smart call. I've been working on trying to keep the milage from getting too out of hand after workouts and such. Things have been well. I just finished the Hobbit and music wise, I've been revisiting some Townes Van Zandt and Bob Dylan.
If you have any more recommendations with respect to running, reading, or music please send them my way. Also, I heard you're officially retiring from XC. Firstly, just wanted to say congrats- I'm glad you're gonna get more time with the fam and such. Secondly, I wanted to say thank you! I know you and Holt put in more hours than you guys get credit for on behalf of the XC team. And I also know all that time you've dedicated to helping students find their Niche, wether that be in the classroom or out running, has gone a real long way for a lot of students. Being one of those students, I figured I owe you a thanks.
Hope all is well,
-Grant

Thanks for the kind words, Grant.
A few quick recommendations. Did I ever talk to you about John Vanderslice? He’s a cool cat that loves contemporary hip hop and Utah, go figure. I’ve also been into David Bazan and his other moniker Pedro the Lion. Ryan Holiday hasn’t written some interesting books. His latest is Stillness is Key or something like that. Amazing Racers by Marc Bloom is a great read.
Keep up the curiosity and the running. Lots of positives in your race. Nice work.
